So, like everyone else, I've made a ton of resolutions for the new year. Some are necessary, some are unlikely, and some of them have been planned for months. All of them are almost certainly doomed, just like everyone else. I don't have time to list them all right now, but I did tell Chris about them. In hindsight, I shouldn't have, because now he's going to force me to follow through.
He can be scary, you know. The sweaters give him magical wizard powers. Or maybe that's just his stove...
One of the resolutions, like everyone else, is to lose weight. But I'm more interested in eating less, eating better, eating at home, and paying less money for food. In theory, it's totally necessary and totally plausible. In real life, however, I have a box of Pepperidge Farms cookies with my name on it. Really. It's sitting on my dining room table. Mocking me with it's deliciousness.
Instead of eating the leftover snacks from last night, I measured out a bowl of wheat cereal, a half cup of soy milk, and half a banana. Not only that, but I wrote down all of the nutritional information and added up the totals. I even cleaned out the bowl, dried it, put it away, put the food away, and threw the trash away. That doesn't sound very impressive, but my mom will tell you that it's almost impossible for someone as awesome as myself.
Progress? Maybe.

Well I never thought I would hear about the day that you would actually clean the dishes right after eating and take out the trash to boot.......woot........a proud moment on my end!
