Hmm?

I think this blog needs a point.

The Julie & Julia blog was about cooking Julia Child's recipes. There are movie blogs, fashion blogs, food blogs, economic blogs, political blogs, etc. My blog is pointless.

Much like my life, at the moment. Hmm.

Well, here's to the new year and new resolutions. Which, incidentally, are generally pointless.

I'm sensing a theme here.

I love Julie & Julia. For real. I got it for Christmas and I've watched it 4 times already. It's fantastic. Go watch it now. Go on, I'll wait.

Almost all of my Christmas presents were inspired by the movie (the book is not awesome). Chris gave me an enamel cast iron pot that I named Chip. Yes, I named my pot. I was going to name it Steve, but Chip really is more fitting. Especially since I chipped it while dragging it's heavy carcass out of the box.

I'll take a picture of Chip later. I hope he and I will become great friends this year, along with my new set of pots and my new cast iron frying pan. Oh, and the meat thermometer :)

Speaking of the coming year, I'm very excited. I don't usually care, but it's hard not to be. 2009 brought more home foreclosures than ever before, the highest unemployment rate since the Depression, the Swine Flu, a global economic recession, the crushing of all educational dreams, and an awesome drop in the market price of my home.

I really hope 2010 is better. We'll see.
